The \u201ctime for regular maintenance\u201d or \u201ctime for regular service\u201d light is a non-critical message that serves as a reminder. For those of us who perform our own oil changes, the reminder can be a bit of a nuisance more than anything. My XC90 was not fond of my attempts to reset the message via the trip meter method, so I plugged in the DiCE. Using VIDA was frankly the much easier method in my case.<\/p>\n

1. Connect DiCE to computer, launch VIDA<\/a>, ensure connectivity\/read vehicle profile
\n2. Navigate to \u201cDiagnostics\u201d tab
\n3. Navigate to \u201cVehicle Communications\u201d sub-tab
\n4. Click on the DIM or Driver Information Module component in the vehicle diagram
\n5. Click the \u201cAdvanced\u201d tab underneath the vehicle diagram
\n6. Click the VCT2000 symbol
\n7. In the following pop-up, click the \u201cReset\u201d button
\n8. The reset should complete immediately with a green dot and \u201coperation finished\u201d message for confirmation.<\/p>\n
