How to use ECU communication of IQ4Bike Diagnostic Tool<\/a>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diagnostics under >ECU communication<
\nECU communication is used to exchange data between tester and system.
\nCommunication is necessary for the following tasks:
\n\u2022 reading\/deleting fault memories
\n\u2022 displaying parameters
\n\u2022 carrying out actuator tests
\n\u2022 carrying out basic settings
\n\u2022 coding ECUs
\n\u2022 service resets<\/p>\n

ATTENTION!<\/strong>
\nTrouble-free communication is possible only if:
\n\u00b7 all pins of the diagnostic connection are correctly assigned.
\n\u00b7 the motorcycle is identified correctly
\nTherefore, identify the motorcycle as exactly as possible.
\n\u00b7 voltage of motorcycle electrical system is not lower 11,5 V. Use external power supply if
\nnecessary.
\n\u00b7 all power consumers are turned off
\n\u00b7 the diagnostic plug is connected to the motorcycle
\n\u00b7 accessory equipment, radio, CD changer etc. are connected correctly
\n\u00b7 ignition ON<\/p>\n

NOTE<\/strong>
\nAlways turn off the ignition before connecting or disconnecting the diagnostic plug from
\nthe motorcycle. If you wish to read out several fault memories one after the other, turn off
\nignition after every readout process and turn on again for the next process.<\/p>\n

\n1. Connect the ST2 diagnostic cable to iQ4bike.<\/p>\n

\nA light yellow info window appears for approx. 15 s. containing the data of the marked
\nmotorcycle. Press F3 Search to open a window with search criteria for the motorcycle
\nidentification.<\/p>\n

\nThere is an indication of the diagnostic types possible for the motorcycle.<\/p>\n

6. Select and confirm the search criterion, in this case year of construction.<\/p>\n

8. Select and confirm the motorcycle type.<\/p>\n

11. Connect the diagnostic plug.
