It is connected with USB cable to a ICOM A1, A2,A3\uff0cNEXT A diagnostic head. Used for diagnostic faults, error clearing, coding and programming units.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to connect ICOM B module with car:<\/strong><br \/>\nPut the ICOM B at the USB port from your ICOM main interface.<\/p>\n<p>Open the optical port on ICOM B and connect it to the car. For example on a E92 it is a little bit more right to the diag plug under the steering stock (a black plastic plate should be removed).<\/p>\n<p>Here you can see the optical plug, remove the lenscap before you use it.<\/p>\n<p>The location can be found in ISTA and is depending on the cars type you are working.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to use ICOM B for initial use:<\/strong><br \/>\nBefore flashing anything with a new ICOM-B for the first time, I recommend doing a stress test with Tool32.<\/p>\n<p>Configure Ediabas to most async ab 625, open Tool32\u00a0and cicr.prg.<\/p>\n<p>Then select job fs_lesen<\/p>\n<p>and then from Tool32 top bar, select \u201cplay\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This will make the \u201cread error memory\u201d job run on repeat.<\/p>\n<p>If it can do it for 30-60 minutes, then the head is probably ok.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously the ICOM emulator\u00a0must be connected to the CIC.<br \/>\nWhen you make a flashing , you can confirm data communication in task managers.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.cnautotool.com\/images\/upload\/image\/20180323\/20180323081754_77989.png\" alt=\"\" data-ke-src=\"\/images\/upload\/image\/20180323\/20180323081754_77989.png\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>And, ICOM B, green flashes on and off.<\/strong><br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.cnautotool.com\/images\/upload\/image\/20180323\/20180323081814_66182.png\" alt=\"\" data-ke-src=\"\/images\/upload\/image\/20180323\/20180323081814_66182.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>How to read LED info from ICOM B:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ICOM B includes a (2) two LED display.
