Many new BMWs use FEM or BDC modules, and FEM or BDC must be programmed to match the key. Xuanyu Car Ding X300 PAD2\/X300 DP\/DP 600 tablet has been upgraded with FEM\/BDC key matching function. In order to let everyone be familiar with the operation of the equipment more quickly, I will explain the whole process of X300 PAD2 matching BDC smart key.<\/p>\n

In order to help you understand quickly, first explain to you the 3 main steps of key matching and some tools that need to be prepared in advance.<\/p>\n

Key matching steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Key information<\/p>\n

2. Key matching preprocessing<\/p>\n

3. Key add\/delete<\/p>\n

Before matching the key, read the key information of the current vehicle, delete the lost key and add a new key according to the information.<\/p>\n

For vehicles that use this type of equipment to match keys for the first time, they need to perform key matching preprocessing before adding and deleting keys. The key pretreatment can be operated on the car or on the workbench, but here we strongly recommend using a dedicated test harness to operate on the workbench. The test harness of BDC is as follows:<\/p>\n

Because you need to read and write the eight-pin core of the FEM or BDC module, you need to prepare an electric soldering station and a programmer for chip reading and writing. The picture below shows the EEPROM\/PIC adapter for OBDSTAR X300 PAD2<\/a><\/p>\n

Start<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Key information reading<\/p>\n

Connect the device to the vehicle or test harness, enter the BMW anti-theft menu, select “key information” to read the current key information:<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The device here will prompt to perform preprocessing first, that is, the BMW models that use this type of equipment to match the key need to perform preprocessing first. If you have used this type of equipment to match the BMW models before, you can directly perform key addition and delete.<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

What is displayed here is the information of the BDC module, don’t care, just click “OK”.<\/p>\n

What is displayed here is the number, location and ID of the current vehicle’s keys. According to requirements, when matching the keys, choose to delete the lost keys, and choose to add a new key in an unoccupied\/enabled position.<\/p>\n

2. Key matching preprocessing<\/p>\n

The first time you use this type of equipment to match the key, you must perform preprocessing. After viewing the vehicle key information, press “OK” to return to the key matching main menu, and select “Key matching preprocessing”:<\/p>\n

There are a total of 7 steps in preprocessing, starting from the first step in order:<\/p>\n

The first step: encoding data backup<\/p>\n

Click to select “Encoded Data Backup”:<\/p>\n

After reading the encoded data, click “Yes” to save it with the default file name, click “No” to enter your own custom file name, remember the file name of the encoded data (you will need it in the seventh step later).<\/p>\n

\nThe encoded data backup is complete.<\/p>\n

Step 2: EEPROM original data backup<\/p>\n

Select “EEPROM original data backup”<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

When the second step is selected, a simple text description of how to operate the programmer is displayed. Because the programmers used by different users may be different, and the operations may be different, so this step writes a general description of the operation. Below we will demonstrate the operation with the EEPROM\/PIC adapter supporting X300 PAD2, the steps are as follows:<\/p>\n

\u2460 Remove the FEM or BDC module from the vehicle or test harness, disassemble the shell, and solder the 95128 or 95256 chip:<\/p>\n

\u2461 Solder the 95128 or 95256 chip to the position of the 95XXX column of the adapter plate or use the chip clip to insert it into the chip socket (note the direction of the chip), as shown below:<\/p>\n

\u2462 After soldering or inserting the chip, connect the adapter to X300 PAD2 and connect to the 12V power supply, as shown in the figure below:<\/p>\n

\u2463 Exit the anti-theft remote control matching function, return to the main interface, and then select the “EEPROM\/PIC adapter” function:<\/p>\n

The original EERPOM data backup is completed, and the saved file name is “BDC00000”. Remove the 95128 or 95256 chip from the adapter plate and solder it back to the FEM or BDC module.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Service model data generation<\/p>\n

Install the FEM or BDC module back into the car or connect it to the test harness. Exit the “EEPROM\/PIC adapter” function, select the anti-theft remote matching to enter the BMW anti-theft… Select “Step 3: Service mode data generation”:<\/p>\n

The service mode data is successfully generated, and the saved path and file name are as shown in the figure above. Click “OK” to return to the previous menu.<\/p>\n

Step 4: Write service mode data<\/p>\n

Click to select “Step 4: Service Mode Data Writing”:<\/p>\n

The fourth step is the same as the second step, you need to use an EEPROM\/PIC adapter or other programmer to read and write the 95128 or 95256 chip. If you use other programmers to write service mode data, you need to copy the service mode data just generated from X300 PAD2, copy it to other programming devices or PC computers, and then write the operation data. The following are the steps of writing service mode data of EEPROM\/PIC adapter:<\/p>\n

\u2460 Remove the 95128 or 95256 chip again, solder it to the adapter, and connect X300 PAD2:<\/p>\n

The data read this time does not need to be saved specially. Just enter a file name, but it cannot be the same as the EEPROM data file name backed up in the second step.<\/p>\n

The file is successfully read and saved, remember not to exit the interface at this time, click “Help” and select the service mode data “BDC00000(Calc)” to be written<\/p>\n

Here again, confirm whether the data to be written is correct. If it is from other programmers, copy the service mode data “BDC00000(Calc)” according to the path shown in the figure above.<\/p>\n

The service mode data recovery is complete. Click “OK” to return to the previous menu and exit the EEPROM\/PIC adapter function.<\/p>\n

Step 5: Programming FEM or BDC module<\/p>\n

Solder the 95128 or 95256 chip back to the FEM or BDC module, install the module back to the vehicle or connect to the test harness, and connect the X300 PAD2 to the vehicle or test harness OBD interface. Exit the EEPROM\/PIC adapter function, press the menu to enter the key matching preprocessing menu, and select “Step 5: Program FEM or BDC Module”:<\/p>\n

After starting to execute the programming, wait for the completion of the programming, and then press “OK” to return to the previous menu and execute step 6.<\/p>\n

Step 6: Restore EEPROM original data<\/p>\n

The steps for restoring EEPROM data are the same as those for writing service mode data, except that the last selected data to be written is different, and the original EEPROM data saved in the second step should be selected. According to the service mode writing procedure, the final selected data is as follows:<\/p>\n

After reading the saved data, click “Help” to select the EEPROM original data “BDC00000.BIN” saved in the second step.<\/p>\n

The original data of EEPORM was successfully restored. Press “OK” to return, exit the EEPROM\/PIC adapter function, and solder the 95128 or 95256 chip back to the FEM or BDC module.<\/p>\n

Step 7: Encoded data recovery<\/p>\n

Install the FEM or BDC module back into the vehicle or connect to the test harness, and connect the X300 PAD2 to the OBD interface of the vehicle or test harness. Press the menu to enter the key matching preprocessing, select “Step Seven: Coded Data Recovery”<\/p>\n

Encoding is successful, and the preprocessing part of key matching is all executed. Click “OK” to return and exit the preprocessing.<\/p>\n

Three, the key increase<\/p>\n

After the pre-processing part is executed, the key is added and deleted to be connected to the vehicle operation. Install the FEM or BDC module back to the vehicle, and connect the X300 PAD2 to the vehicle OBD. Enter the menu and select “Key Increase”:<\/p>\n

After selecting the key to add, paste the key to the emergency start position, and then click “OK”. The emergency start position is on the right side of the steering column housing, where there is a key mark. As shown below:<\/p>\n

Paste the key on this key sign.<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After identifying the available keys, the available key frequency types are displayed, click “Yes” to continue<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At this step, the number, location and ID of the current vehicle\u2019s keys are displayed. There are currently 2 keys that have been matched, at positions 00 and 01. Now we want to add one. You can add a key at any position from 02 to 09. Here we choose position 02.<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Stick the key to be matched to the emergency start position, and then click “OK” to continue.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After sensing the new key, it will prompt success, click “OK” to continue.<\/p>\n

After the matching is successful, the information of the matched key will be automatically read, and the key 02 is the newly added key.<\/p>\n

Fourth, delete the key<\/p>\n

The operation method of key deletion and matching is the same. The current version first enters the key enable\/disable, read the current key ID, and keep it in mind. Then enter key matching-key deletion, follow the prompts and select the key to be deleted. It is mandatory that the current key cannot be deleted, so there is no need to worry about deletion errors.<\/p>\n
