2026 V1 JPRO Update Expands CAN Bus Troubleshooting and Repair Mentor Enhancements

Greensboro, North Carolina – May 19, 2026 – The latest software update for Noregon’s JPRO is now available and packed with new features, settings, and coverage additions. JPRO – a flagship product in Noregon’s suite of maintenance technologies – provides rapid diagnostics and guided troubleshooting for on and off-highway vehicles and equipment.

 

Prior to this release, Noregon launched the unprecedented ability to diagnose CAN Bus issues and read voltage and resistance directly in JPRO. This update expands upon that technology through tighter integration with JPRO’s Repair Mentor feature, an embedded tool that guides technicians through the optimal diagnostic process. Repair mentor now identifies the location of an open, disconnected, or short circuit and graphs the live data values necessary to determine the root cause.

 

“CAN Bus diagnostic technology has been a game changer for customers who took advantage of it with the last JPRO release, but this update makes it an even more accessible feature for technicians of any skill level,” said Jason Hedman, Noregon product manager. “By following prompts in the software, newer technicians can solve communication issues under the guidance of their diagnostic tool without always having to grab a multimeter or pull away a more experienced coworker.”

 

On-highway upgrades include proprietary engine faults and roll call for Mack and Volvo VN4 architecture, including Mack’s Anthem/Pioneer models and Volvo’s VNL models. New bi-directional tests are available for major component manufacturers including Eaton and Cummins.

 

To facilitate mixed and off-highway fleets, JPRO includes extensive coverage for manufacturers in construction, agriculture, and other heavy-equipment industries, at no additional subscription cost. Highlights from this release include additional tests, commands, and coverage for John Deere, Kubota, Yanmar, and more.

 

An optional dark mode is also now available within the application settings. JPRO users can update their software through a prompt in the application or by visiting the Noregon website. In addition, there is access to the document "What's New" showing all supported features from the Connection Selection and Help menu. There is access to historical fault data from previous JPRO® connections which can be used to identify intermittent vehicle issues.

- For the appropriate vehicle adapter driver must be installed in order to connect to an adapter device. This installation is separate and independent of the JPRO Commercial Vehicle Diagnostics installation.

- The Noregon DLA+ 2.0, DLA+ 2.0 Wireless, DLA+, or DLA+ Wireless adapters are required in order to connect to the Ford, GM, Isuzu, or Sprinter Medium-Duty vehicles. Please ensure you have the latest driver and firmware loaded.
- To connect to Ford, use the OBD-II cable for Ford (red).
- To connect to GM, use the OBD-II cable for GM (yellow).
- To connect to Sprinter, use the OBD-II cable for Sprinter (Blue for DLA+ adapter family and Gray for the DLA+ 2.0 adapter family).
- To connect to Hino or Isuzu use the generic OBD-II cable (Blue or Gray).
- The JPRO Off-Highway for Caterpillar only supports the following adapters and cables:
    Noregon DLA+ 2.0 or DLA+ 2.0 Wireless Adapter
