The MaxiFlash Xlink is a 3-in-1 communication and programming device that can act as an enhanced vehicle communication interface (VCI), a J2534 pass-thru programmer, and a Remote Expert-ready device. Use the Xlink to enable Remote Expert’s experienced programmers, diagnosticians, and system experts to connect to the vehicle needing service in your shop. Use the Xlink as a J2534 pass-thru programmer with OE software subscriptions to flash or program system modules onsite. Use the Xlink as an enhanced VCI with any MaxiSYS tablet to communicate with and diagnose vehicles using the latest protocols.
Includes a one-year limited warranty.

It will not add Mercedes and BMW coding to tablets that do not already include that feature. (i.e. Using this with an MS906 Pro will not gain programming through the tablet)
