Background
Background: A FORD ECOSPORT had a traffic accident leading to exploded airbag. Then there was a crash history saved in ECU. Generally it should change a new airbag ECU, but it’s high cost. Now it can be solved by P50 to reset airbag, an economical way.
Preparation
Preparation: P50, Main Cable, P004 Adapter, P004 Jumper, FORD ECOSPORT Airbag ECU(CN15-14B321-BE)

Solutions: using OBDSTAR P50 to operate on【Erase Crash】.
Details Steps:
①Connect P50 to a car, enter into【Airbag Reset】;
②Click airbag reset logo;
③Click the newest airbag reset edition;
④Click【Auto Search Part Number】;
⑤Read note, click【Enter】;
⑥Input part number of ECU(CN15-14B321-BE), click【Enter】;
Remarks: Auto Search Part Number supports fuzzy search, case-insensitive.
⑦Confirm part number, click【Enter】;
⑧Click【Diagram】to check wiring diagram in BENCH mode;
Tips: Pls power off P004 adapter in connecting wires process. After connecting cables, pls power on P004 adapter and turn on 120Ω resistor.(Pin boots pics can be enlarged for checking.)
⑨Click【Read DTC】to read crash fault code;
⑩Click【Advanced Function】;
⑪Click【Read EEPROM(XC2361A)】;
Remarks: Before airbag reset, pls read EEPROM in advance function first and then save it in case of data lost caused by wrong operation.
⑫Click【Enter】, click【START】;
Note: It is not allowed to disconnect the ECU or unplug power supply during the process of reading/writing EEPROM, otherwise it might be damaged.
⑬Pls enter a filename to save, click【OK】;
⑭Pls turn off power button of P004 adapter for 30 seconds and then turn it on.
Remarks: some ECU will fail to communicate without this step.
⑮Click【Esc】;
⑯Click【Erase Crash】, click【Enter】;
⑰Then choose EEPROM data just saved to erase crash data, click【Enter】;
⑱Erase crash data success, click【Enter】;
⑲Click【START】to write EEPORM data into airbag ECU;
⑳Operation success, click【OK】;
㉑Turn off power button of P004 adapter for 30 seconds and then turn it on.
Remarks: some ECU will fail to communicate without this step.
㉒Click【Erase DTC】;
㉓Click【Enter】to erase fault code;
㉔Click【Read DTC】;
㉕No crash fault code, the crash history has been removed successfully. Airbag ECU has been reset successfully.
