Purpose: Program Dodge RAM 3500 2016 all keys lost by Autel MaxiIM IM608
Case: I misplaced my keys on the job. I bought a new key to perform the all keys lost with IM608. My im608 battery was low and only had 14% as it was near the end of the day.
Equipments need:
2016 Dodge RAM 3500
Autel MaxiIM IM608 with J2534 ECU programmer
Guide to program Dodge RAM 3500 2016 AKL:
Step 1: Read & Erase error codes
Step 2: Read Pincode
Step 3: Erase key
Step 4: Add key
Step 1: Read & Erase error codes
Select IMMO Status Scan
Turn the ignition on
Establishing vehicle communication…
Read the existing faults
Note: it’s very important to clear all the fault codes especially in the BCM and PCM. Otherwise the procedure will not work.
Click “Quick erase DTC” to erase all the existing error codes
When all the fault status turn green, it indicate that the faults have been erased successfully
Step 2: Read Pincode
Turn the ignition off and turn on the emergency flashers
Read out the password successfully
Step 3: Erase key
Select “Key Learning”->“Erase key”
Click “Yes” to erase all keys
Turn the ignition off and turn on emergency flashers
Erase the key succeed
Step 4: Add key
Escape to “System Selection”
Select “Immobilizer”-> “Immobilizer CAN”
Turn the ignition on
Then select “Key Learning”
Please kindly notice:
Please place an unprogrammed FOBIK key into the ignition, make sure the ignition is in the LOCK position.
To learn programmed keys, you have to finish “Erase Key” first.
Current number of key is: 0.
Then click “OK” to continue
Learn the key successfully
Here only has one key, so click “No” to finish
That’s all!
